2 tired to argue with them but yeah. block transgenderer. if you DONT know whats wrong with this post, "#landback" is about giving indigenous people autonomy over their lands and lives. as activist jesse wente says, "Land Back is really about the decision-making power. It’s about self-determination for our Peoples here that should include some access to the territories and resources in a more equitable fashion, and for us to have control over how that actually looks." (x) it is NOT about ethnonationalism or "doing a reverse colonialism", and saying that is buying into white fear of retribution rhetoric that, upon the instatement of equal rights, minorities will take revenge and try to oppress white people back. this is, first of all, not a good reason to continue a legacy of oppression and deny people autonomy, especially considering it has no basis in the reality of what activists are fighting for, and second of all it is LITERAL white supremacist/white nationalist rhetoric so this person has absolutely no business calling other people ethnonationalists.
literally this is inexcusable esp since 90% of landback resources begin with 50 paragraphs trying to assuage this very reaction so clearly this person is either trying to contribute to a conversation they are COMPLETELY uninformed about and have done no research on based on a kneejerk reaction to the slogan, OR they HAVE done research and their anti indigenous bias is so strong that literally every landback advocate telling them what the movement was actually about flew right over their head. it doesnt really matter to me honestly

Help urgently needed!!
*URGENT: PLEASE READ/SIGNAL BOOST**
Sunday, November 14th: Hi everyone, I’m Gemma, a bi, mentally ill disaster, who’s in desperate need of help, as I'm really struggling with my bills and due to charge-backs, my accounts are overdrawn and my electricity meter is back on its emergency credit!!
As most of you are already aware from my previous post, I have been struggling financially for quite some time due to my welfare benefit (Universal Credit) being under a review, which is due to my worsening mental health and the UK’s controversial changes to how benefits are assessed and assigned. And at the moment, I'm currently struggling to get by, as my application for Disability (PIP) was declined and due to Covid, I have been waiting almost a year for an appointment for a WCA (Work Capability Asessment) from the DWP to assess my mental and physical health, and due to this, my debt from overdue bills is piling up to an amount that I'm really struggling with.
I know this is a huge ask, and I'm completely heartbroken to be asking for help again, but I still desperately need some as I don't have anyone else to turn to and if I can't pay this balance off by the 25th my welfare benefit will get eaten by it and I need to top-up my electricity or it will be cut off.
If anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would literally save my life, and sharing definitely helps just as much as donations. Nobody is obligated in any way to donate if they can’t or don’t want to, I know we’re all struggling right now.
£0/£250!!

~TIME SENSITIVE!!~
I'm really sorry to keep posting this but I'm still struggling to keep my utilities on and my electricity meter has 92p left in it, and it WILL NOT last until my benefit payment on the 25th!!
If anyone could spare anything at all to help, even if it’s just a £1/$1 or a reblog, it would mean so much to me. Take care of yourself ❤
£25/£250!!
There is a distinct technique used by capitalists to bypass the legal and contractual rights of workers which to my knowledge has no name currently - so I’m giving it one - Lunch Grinding.
Lunch Grinding is a manipulative erosion of worker rights both in and out of the workplace. It bypasses legal and contractual standards through informal social pressures which the bosses cannot be held directly accountable for.
Lunch Grinding is named after one of the most common examples. It begins by asking a few employees to skip lunch in order to finish a project. Workers who are already insecure about their position due to economic anxiety will see this as an opportunity to prove they are a good employee. Those who refuse to do so may receive blame for failing to finish the project on time.
The issue becomes compounded when the bosses begin to purposefully schedule less time to complete the same projects. A distinct class begins to appear ignoring their contractual right to a lunch break - who become hostile to those who refuse to work during lunch for being “lazy” or “the reason we didn’t finish on time.”
At this point the management no longer needs to influence anyone directly to work through lunch break, simply by keeping up the sense of constantly being a little late for the project they have ensured the lunch-grinders will apply pressure to their peers who aren’t working through breaks.
As workplace hostility increases towards the “unproductive” members who are expressing their formal right to a break - they will be replaced with new individuals who may not even realize they have the right to a lunch break because working through the hour has become normalized by their peers.
Thus formal written standards from contracts and legal code become functionally non-existent. After which a new standard will be identified by management for erosion some examples include:
+Accepting uncertain hours.
+Working off-the-clock.
+Staying “On-Call” at all times.
+Finishing projects / responding to emails at home.
+Never using time off or sick leave.
All of which are socially conditioned in the same format - starting with “The Good Worker” who does a little favor for their boss - and ending as a peer enforced pressure and a perpetual hostility from management claiming productivity isn’t as high as expected.
This old post of mine feels increasingly relevant with the popular protest of worker’s mistreatment happening in the USA of late.
this is especially evil considering Daniel used to regularly bring up his supposed allyship to trans women and disdain for rowling. why are u coming back to celebrate her work riddled with transmisogyny if ur such an ally like.
